SAMTs book was known as a praisworthy work in the 3rd Festival of DEHKHODA Award

One of SAMT’s books titled " Prisoner of War in Islam: A Historical-Legal Survey War Captivity Slavery" by Seyed Ali Mirsharifi, was recognized as a praiseworthy work in the 3rd edition of Festival of DEHKHODA Award.


The third festival on the book of the year for University-wide faculty members chiefly in human sciences was held in the Jaber-Ib-Hayyan hall of Tarbiat Modares University in the presence of Ali Rabiei, Minister of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare, Ahmad Masjedjamei, the member of Tehran Council and a group of country’s professors and researchers in area of the Humanities.

In this round of festival, 31,795 books, published in 2016, were mostly on the subjects including Literature, Social Science, Novel, Religion, History and Geography. Among the different subjects Art was presented by least works. Out of all works considered in 18 sections, 234 works, most of them in the area of Social Sciences, Communications, Quranic Sciences, Theology, Economics and Management, Accounting, History, Persian Language and Philosophy were finally surveyed.

The Festival of DEHKHODA Award is holding every year with the participation of the Ministries of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, Science, Research and Technology, Islamic Culture and Guidance, and Social Security Organization in order to select the book of the year for University-wide faculty members chiefly in Human sciences.
