Deputy for International affairs of SAMT and the officials of Quaid-i-Azam University of Pakistan discussed about mutual scientific cooperation

Dr. Seyed Rasoul Mousavi, Deputy for International Affairs of SAMT, who has traveled to Islamabad, met Dr. Javed Ashraf, Vice- Chancellor of Quaid-i-Azam University and discussed about the subjects of common interests including publishing joint university textbooks, holding scientific conferences, exchanging researchers and scholars, granting research opportunities and some other issues.

During the meeting, Dr. Javed Ashraf expressed Quaid-i-Azam University’s interest in academic and research cooperation with SAMT in the field of Humanities and referred to the signed MOUs between the Ministry of Higher Education of both countries which are mostly in the field of Technical Sciences and Engineering.

In the meeting  which was also attended by the dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and some other officials of study centers affiliated to the Quaid-i-Azam University  ; The importance of the Humanities in today’s world as well as the necessity of research cooperation in the field of Humanities between Iran and Pakistan were discussed .Moreover, it was appointed that during the upcoming visit of the Board of Quaid-i-Azam University  to SAMT in Tehran, the MOU of cooperation between SAMT and Quaid-i-Azam University  will be signed.

During the meeting one of SAMT’s books named “A Research on Persian Painting and Miniature” in two volumes has been donated to Dr. Javed Ashraf.

Worth mentioning that according to the law, the chancellor of Quaid-i-Azam University is the president of Pakistan and all the activities are done under the supervision of University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Javed Ashraf.
