SAMT participated in the 22nd Muscat International Book Fair

The 22nd Muscat International Book Fair attended by Dr. Abdolmonem Ibne Mansour al-Hasani, Omans Minister of Information and Culture was opened in the Center for Conferences and Exhibitions located in Muscat, Oman on February 22, 2017.

In this round of the Muscat International Book Fair, 590 publishers directly and 160 publishers indirectly from 28 countries are participating. Also 450 thousand books listed on the website of exhibition, 30% of which are first edition.

In this regard, the Organization for Researching and Composing University Textbooks in the Humanities (SAMT) has participated in Muscat International Book Fair for the first time. The Arabic Books of SAMT have been presented in a booth organized by the Cultural Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Muscat.

Wide participation of e-Book publishers compared to previous rounds as well as dedicating some of exhibition’s halls to childrens books; which was welcomed by the children are most important characteristics of the 22nd Muscat International Book Fair.

The Muscat International Book Fair, after Cairo and Casablanca International Book Fair, is one of the most important fairs in Arab World.
